Crescent campground to the trailhead is groomed with classic tracks set.

Feller/buncher tracks are mostly reconditioned and it will probably skate well in the morning.

Powerline to campground is still single lane snow and single lane road to leave access for project.

Happy New Year!

The powerline to Crescent Campground has one lane (about 1/3 of normal) that has been dragged. It isn't perfect but it is access and it is way better than it was. The before photo is with the mounds of snow. The after is knocked down.

Past the campground has not been groomed but is unaffected by the access to the campground for the beetle kill mitigation project.

As a reminder, the campground is closed to the public while the project is being done. There is equipment working and hazard trees present.

I also got the Dry Creek classic race loop drug for the first time this year.

Don't let some unfortunate project timing stand in the way of getting out and enjoying what we do have!
