RRCG Grooming

Hey Skiers...just groomed the road into Grayling, including all five campground loops..Track has also been set. Thanks to the "dog" people for cleaning up after their canine friends..Enjoy the great conditions!! Any comments, improvements are appreciated!! Thanks...

Russian River groomed

Hey skiers...The road into the campground and campground loops have been groomed and a track has been set...Enjoy the "warmer" weather.....

All trails and campground loops have been packed and groomed in the Russian River Campground. A single track has been set throughout the campgrounds and the main road from Grayling to the Gate. Should be fast!!!

Quartz Creek Area

Eric Route let us know he's made a drag and has been leveling the road to Crescent Lake Trail head as well as some of the loops in the Quartz Creek campground. It's great to have another groomer. Thanks Eric

Groomed today

Hey Skiers...The road to Grayling and all the campground loops have been groomed with a track set as of 2pm Sat. Once it sets up, should be fast, great skiing...Also...thanks for cleaning up dog "clister"...

Dog mushing

Hi RRCG users...We're grooming these loops/roads for multple use...hikers and snow-showers...please travel on the right side (not in the middle) of the road in order to avoid messing up the track set on the left side. Dogs are welcome but please clean-up after them. Also, please no dog mushing as it is really hard to re-groom the trail(s) as well as the "brown clister" the dogs may leave behind. Thanks....The Grooomers

The RRCG is groomed from gate to Grayling Parking area as well as side campground loops....Enjoy and stay warm!!!!

Old Sterling Highway

Just heard that the Old Sterling Highway, from Tern Lake to Quartz Creek, has been packed for skiing!!!

RRCG - Groomed

Snowpack is becoming more dense and heavy. Should ski fast in the morning. There is some stubborn pitting under trees but otherwise the campground road is groomed from the gate to Grayling. Also groomed are Red Salmon, Steelhead and Rainbow Trout. More tracks set later this week.

RR Campground groomed

As of 4pm Sat., road groomed from gate to Grayling Parking lot and side loops also groomed. Track set from Grayling to gate.....Enjoy the new snow!!!!

Cool fog, cold temps, fast conditions.

A little spindrift filling in the corduroy towards Grayling, Rainbow is softer but still fast and the flats fly by under a starry sky.

Tracks set

We groomed late last night. RRCG road to Grayling is drug and classic tracks are set most of its length. Two more campground loops are drug. Enjoy.

Apologies for the late start but the groomer is up and trails should be sweet and set up by about noon.

RRCG - Roller packed

The roller/compactor made its maiden voyage tonight. It builds a nice base with the new snowfall but the deep ruts and prints will need to be filled and evened out by the nearly ready groomer. Great to see so many using the trails.

RRCG - Making Way

The RRCG road is widened, dragged and evening out. Silver Salmon has been widened and dragged as has Rainbow Trout. King Salmon is packed but un-groomed.

RRCG - Dragging on

After packing with the machine the RRCG road has been dragged with loaner equipment. The vehicle tracks up to the trailhead are still filling and there are still uneven areas along the length of the road. Silver Salmon is dragged.

RRCG - Packing it in

The Russian River Campground road is packed down from the gate to Grayling. Wheeled vehicle tracks are filling in. We have a great base to start.
